The most popular distance school for electricians

One of the most popular study programmes at the European Academy is the Electrician course. Like the other courses, it is also studied by distance learning or combined. How is this possible?

Electrician is studied as a full vocational qualification course. This means that the study is not completed with a certificate of completion as in a vocational secondary school, but with certificates for the five professional qualifications that make up the Electrician course (according to the National Qualifications Framework). The set of these five certificates is called the full vocational qualification and is a national examination. As a complete set, it is considered to be relevant evidence of vocational training in the field.

The study is primarily intended for those who are already working in the field but lack proof of professional education. Legislative changes are forcing a large number of such workers to complete their education and the full professional qualification is the ideal way to obtain it. As presented by the European Academy, this study is absolutely flexible and can be adapted as much as possible to the time possibilities of working-age students, which include both their own jobs and their families. It is possible to apply at any time during the year and to spread the study over any length of time from one month to five years. The length of study is closely related to the knowledge and experience with which applicants come to us. Our ranks include complete beginners, for whom we recommend a minimum of one year’s study with varied work experience, as well as university graduates with their own electrical companies who need to extend their education with the Electrician’s Certificate just to meet the letter of the law.

The study takes place both at the level of communication with lecturers and online. We provide each student with study materials and offer regular consultations, both online and in person in our classrooms. For practical training, which is mainly used by beginners, we have a fully equipped clean workshop where everyone can try out partial practical skills under the supervision of a tutor. At the same time, students can take advantage of on-the-job training with our contractors. Mastery of practical skills is subject to a final exam, so prior practical training is a must.

The European Training Academy is accredited by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the final exam is therefore held in front of our own examination board and is already included in the price of the course.

Compared to part-time or combined studies at a vocational school, education with us has one huge advantage: the student does not adapt to the school, but the school to the student. The fact that we do this well is evidenced by the number of applications we receive on a continuous basis. Last year, nearly six hundred students applied. In 2024, we expect that number to be even higher.
