What is the importance of logistics?
Logistics has the task to achieve maximum optimization of processes related to production, movement of goods, their sale, ensure maximum yield by minimizing costs, ensure quality and satisfaction with the delivery of goods. Both within companies and as a service offering in the supplier-customer relationship, or external storage and transport services.
The candidate can find employment in a wide range of fields. For example, in transport (road, rail, air, river, sea, combined), or in freight forwarding, in manufacturing and trading companies and in public administration.
Logistics is needed almost everywhere and always. It is essential for the functionality of individual companies and society as a whole. Logisticians have highly promising and well-paid jobs. On average, they earn about CZK 33 000 to CZK 64 000 in this position. There are therefore many reasons to study this field.
How to start studying logistics
Studying logistics is based on knowledge of mathematics and physics. However, students will also learn about other disciplines such as computer science, economics, law, operations research and management. You will also learn the basics of transport infrastructure.
Today, it is possible to study logistics at secondary, higher vocational and university level. In some cases, it is possible to choose it as a distance learning course. One of the schools allowing online study of logistics is the European Training Academy. The course of study is precisely called Logistics and Financial Services 37-42-M/01.
