IT specialist is the start of your new journey

The rapid development of technology and the digitalisation of businesses around the world is increasingly strengthening the demand for IT professionals. This trend is evident not only in the Czech Republic, but also in the world, where IT is becoming one of the most in-demand and versatile sectors.

According to a recent survey published on Kurzy.cz, the Czech Republic is facing a shortage of up to 30,000 qualified IT workers. This shortage is most pronounced in fields such as software development, data analytics and especially cyber security. Although demand for IT professionals in the Czech Republic is high, the shortage of skilled workers poses a challenge for corporate sectors struggling to find and retain talented professionals.

The situation in the IT labour market is not unique to the Czech Republic. According to the World Bank and other sources, the global IT labour market is expected to continue to grow. With the rise of digitalisation in business, the development of artificial intelligence and other technological innovations, the demand for IT professionals is growing.

It is also important to monitor the migration of IT workers in a global perspective. Many skilled IT professionals are looking for opportunities abroad, which can affect labour markets in both origin and destination countries.

The European Training Academy, as well as a number of other schools, offers the IT Specialist vocational course. This study will immerse you in the basics of what you should definitely know and be able to do as an IT specialist. The study culminates in a national exam, after which you will become certified in three professional qualifications according to the National Qualifications Framework. It should be stressed that this is the essential stepping stone for your IT career. If you really want to make it big, you need to show a real passion for the industry and educate yourself consistently and beyond the necessary knowledge. IT is a very distinctive field and favours those who don’t stand still.

The IT job market is dynamic and constantly evolving. While the Czech Republic faces specific challenges related to the shortage of professionals, the global trend shows a growing demand for IT professionals. It is essential that governments, companies and educational institutions work together to create an environment that supports the development of IT skills and allows for adaptation to the dynamic needs of the labour market.
