How the electricians final examinations are conducted

Our Academy offers two possible ways to qualify as an electrician. One of them is the newly opened study at our apprenticeship (which we will discuss in the following articles) and the other is passing the state final exam, which will result in the student obtaining the so-called full professional qualification.

The final examinations in the full professional qualification mode are the culmination of the previous training, which takes place in the form of distance learning at our school. As part of their studies, students have access to textbooks, sample tests, video lectures, practical exercises in the classroom and online consultations. If needed, our lecturers are very dedicated to the student so that they leave the exams with certificates in hand.

The exams are conducted on-site at our school and in front of our examiners. The examiners are professionals in many fields that relate to electricity in different ways. They have many years of experience as teachers and lecturers and have many achievements in the scientific and technical field. During the examinations, they try to make the atmosphere relaxed and help the student to remember everything he/she knows. If they are involved in tutorials as part of their studies, it is possible to meet the examiners before the exam itself.

Each exam begins with a presentation by the students present. It may happen that a student is delayed on the way to the exam, but if he/she is in contact with us by phone, there is no problem to join the already running exam as soon as he/she arrives. Always at the start of the exam the examiner will brief the student on health and safety at work and explain what is going to happen. Right at the beginning, he/she will pass the exam according to NV 194/2022, §6. The next exams consist of health science (test questions, but also reviving the „Andula“) and then electrical theory and practice. A set of test questions is prepared for each student, which includes a practical task or tasks. Some of the practical tasks can be done in pairs, while others are done by the examinee independently.

A total of five sub-examinations are taken in this way in one final examination, i.e. for each of the professional qualifications that make up the Electrician course. Should any part of the examination fail, the student will be informed immediately and will have the opportunity to retake the test on an alternative date.

In the online tutorials, each student has plenty of space to ask questions about the final exams so that they can prepare really thoroughly. In these consultations, the lecturer also gives a detailed introduction to the measuring instruments used in our exams, the assessment conditions for the exams and the whole area in which the exams take place.
