Distance learning online is a concept that sets the European Training Academy apart from other schools. This form of study is aimed at those who want to extend their qualifications, typically those prospective learners who are already working.
The combined form of study, as we know it from mainstream public schools, is based on the principle of self-study, with a regular commute to school for one or two days a week/month and attendance rates as part of the assessment. This usually requires the student to sacrifice their weekends for several years, which are spent at school instead of family and personal activities. In addition, there is pressure on students in the form of deadlines and exams to meet. Classical full-time study is then usually completely unrealistic for these prospective students. Distance online learning can solve this problem very elegantly.
Distance learning online at the European Academy offers the maximum possible flexibility and support, and the school is fully customised to the student. We are not dependent on deadlines or space, so you can apply at any time of the year and start your studies exactly when it suits you, both in terms of time and money, no matter if you are from Prague or Ostrava. Everything is online and the main emphasis is on self-study. As a student, you will receive both electronic and printed textbooks from us (depending on the subject), but of course you can also draw on other resources that are accessible and understandable to you. The moment you come across a topic you need to discuss with a tutor while studying, you can sign up for one of our tutorials. Consultations take place on a regular basis, so again, you can choose when and if you take advantage of these sessions at all. You can consult both online and in person in our Prague classrooms. In your online student account, you can see all the scheduled events you have the option to sign up for.
We also organise lectures and meetings with lecturers on the premises outside of consultation times. Students can see these events in the schedule posted on their student account and can choose whether and which events to attend. If the course of study requires the completion of tests or other interim exams, the student completes these outcomes again in his/her student account, at the time he/she is ready for them.
The study itself will also be adapted to your needs in terms of length. Depending on your initial knowledge and skills, but also on the intensity and time you are able to devote to your studies, your studies can last from a few months to up to five years. It is up to you. It is not a problem to take a break from learning and take your own holidays whenever you want or need to.
If you feel that you are sufficiently prepared to complete your studies properly and register for the final exam, you can register for one of the final exam dates via your student account. We announce exam dates about three times a month and you can see them far enough in advance to plan ahead. For some courses of study we even plan the exam date only after consulting with the student, so again we try to accommodate students as much as possible.
So you can study at the European Academy at any time and adapt your studies to your needs. Your school is always with you on your mobile or computer and it’s up to you when you connect to it. Your career and personal progression is completely in your hands and we are here to help you along the way.
