Artificial intelligence has a significant impact on our personal and professional lives. Where will we use it everywhere and how do you conclude if it is needed for you?
Where is artificial intelligence used everywhere?
Artificial intelligence is a discipline that is quite difficult to define. For example, in short, it is concerned with the creation of machines that exhibit intelligence.
The European Parliament has its own definition. It explains the issue by saying that artificial intelligence is widely used to provide personalised recommendations, for example, based on our previous searches or purchases on the Internet.
It is also used to optimise products, plan inventories, manage the continuity of processes in production, in logistics, etc. It is also used, for example, in the automotive industry or in the healthcare sector. It can thus be said that it can now be applied in virtually all areas of human life, science, business or the arts.
Artificial intelligence has the ability to analyse huge amounts of data, detect invisible patterns, speed up processes and improve performance.
AI is all around us
In addition, AI offers a very wide range of applications in everyday life. It is commonly encountered in your smartphone, for example in the form of a virtual assistant. Even the automatic mode in the camera is based on AI.
AI has a lot more „on its conscience“ around us: it is used in security cameras, it can recommend music playlists in apps such as Spotify, and it can even tell if a message that is currently heading to our email is spam or not.
Artificial intelligence also has great potential for economic development and competitiveness. It makes work more efficient in many fields. So companies will need AI experts. Should you aim in a similar direction in your career ambitions?
